Abigail De Kosnik is an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley in the Berkeley Center for New Media (BCNM) and the Department of Theater, Dance & Performance Studies.  She is the co-editor of The Survival of Soap Opera: Transformations for a New Media Era, published by the University Press of Mississippi in 2010.  She teaches courses such as Sound Design & Media Theater, Performance & Technology (http://perfandtech.tumblr.com/), Performance & Television, New Media History & Theory, and Asian/American Performance Across Media.  Her Twitter account is @De_Kosnik.
